Still alive!

And adapting, because when you ask a five years old what she had for breakfast on Tuesday and the answer "fish" sounds to you not only normal but also a healthy alternative to cookies, that's because you're adapting.

Anyway, for a sum up of my latest adventures...

To be honest my adventures right now are mostly work, work and more work, even though I'm not even full time/don't have my own classes yet. It's way more tiring than I had thought it would be, and it sucks double because everything closes so early here, at six in the afternoon is pitch dark already and nothing's open anymore.

Even so we still find time to explore! The 12th there was a festival in a nearby temple called Osu Kannon (okay, it actually does have another very long name no one cares about). We do work Saturdays, so by the time we were free to go most of the activities were already over, because everything is over early here. But the temple is right in a shopping area (in fact there are so many shops around it that it doesn't really feel like a temple at all), and because of the festival they were open despite the times and some of them had discounts and stuff.

This guy made some kind of puppets with wooden sticks that bent in shapes or something. I have no idea what he was saying because he spoke SO FAST. Like I think I caught a word or two every two hundred or something. But he was very funny.

I also won a bunny in an UFO machine! I wanted the black one, but they put it up after I had gotten mine. Anyway, it's super cute and fluffy and soft and lovely And quite big!

There were also shooting games, the scoop fish with a paper thingy game, food... A total matsuri. And music and stuff. And a lot of people. Man it was crowded. But we missed the parade and all the nice things. Damn.

On Saturday we went to Animate to look at, surprisingly, anime things. It's a danger to my wallet, to be honest, because I do try not to buy anything, but the temptation is stronger than me. Oh well, at least it's cheap.

I got a SnK surprise box, which basically has a random figure out of a set. I got Mikasa :D

Aaaaaaaaand then there's the real danger, gachapon. They are machines with capsules that have figures inside. You get a random one out of a set... And I always get my favorites! :D

Images shamelessly stolen from Google to show you how there are entire shops dedicated to this kind of machines, with figures from all the series ever and things that are not even series but are very very cute. Like capibaras.

I got Makoto and Fuji, because as I said, I always get my favs.

Other than that, I had to get a coworker to get to my place and help me change a lightbulb, because I couldn't reach it even if I climbed onto a chair, and the lack of giantic brothers makes life hard. The best thing though, is that he said he had a microwave he didn't need and gave it to me for free! So I no longer have to eat cold food! Yay!

I went to pick it up at his place after work, and because he was out later than me I got the chance to explore around for a little bit. The main street crosses a river, though it's a pity because it's surrounded by warehouses and factories and doesn't look all that pretty, but there's a colorful shiny ferris wheel in the background! I also found a hospial, a ton of restaurants and a bikes shop where I got a mirror for mine.

And something that could be a church or a real creepy place.

I did tell you that at six it's already pitch black, right? First picture of the river I must have taken around quarter past five at most. This one is before six. I MISS THE SUN.

And that's all for now! See you next time!
